Due to COVID-19 health requirements, members must provide their own sanitisers, gloves, wipes, masks, etc.  If car pooling is required please contact the event co-ordinator.

Current Victorian Covid-19 rules indicate a maximum of 10 persons for outdoor gatherings such as this event. 

Victoria is not requiring double vax just yet.

Normal social distancing rules will apply. If 1.5m cannot be maintained then a mask needs to be worn; particularly if car pooling is used. CURRENTLY MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN OUTDOORS.

 Saturday 9 am start. 2 Walks 2 groups
 
Walk 1
We drive to Hotham and walk back along the Brabralung Trail 12km. take lunch water and snacks
 
Walk 2, Leader Dianne Ross
Tabletop Walk 10 km return
 
  
5.30 pm walk/drive to the Pup for dinner 2km one way . Walkers must bring Head Torch.
 
 
Sunday 8.30 am start.  
Dead Timber Loop 5.5 km Loop
 
 
 Bring camping gear, 2  brekky, water, snacks, 2 dinners, Vine is optional. cooking stuff, gas stove etc. Lunch for 2 days. There is no Water at the camp and no toilet Paper in the Dunny.
 
double vax members can go to the pub for dinner on Saturday night. Its a 2km walk from the camp each way. bring head torch.

GRADE 3

Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.

Car Camping

As for Day Walks and / or Day Walking in the Alps

Day Walking

  • Current Medical Information Form - LOGIN FIRST  and then it can be FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE 
  • Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves and hat
  • Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
  • Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
  • Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
  • Walking poles
  • Gaiters
  • Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
  • Torch or headlamp for contingencies

Day Walking  in the Alps

    Activities in the Alps require additional safety equipment due to the fact that weather can change really quickly from benign to dangerous
  • Current Medical Information Form - LOGIN FIRST  and then it can be FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE 
  • Water - 2 litres recommended - exercise in the Alps uses prodigious amounts of fluid
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves and hat
  • Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event (snacks for morning and afternoon tea and lunch)
  • Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
  • Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
  • Thermal top and bottoms
  • Walking poles
  • Gaiters
  • Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
  • Torch or headlamp for contingencies
  • Whistle
  • Toilet paper, trowel and sanitiser
  • A set of dry clothing in a separate bag to be left in the car to change into if you get wet
