This was a wonderful 8 day walk conducted in challenging weather conditions - rain wind hail were par for the course
Hailstorm on first night
but we did get some sunshine glimpses to warm the soul.
Lunch break
The weather was anticipated so we were well prepared with gear and clothing and the overall total of rain for the week wasnt huge.
struggling to cross Johanna beach
Being able to have a food drop at the half way point (Aire River camp) provided by Walk 91 at Apollo Bay was a bonus lightening our load for half the way.
steps help a lot in the really steep country
There is heaps of great information on the web about this walk so rather than repeat you can find what you need at this website

The designate walk in campsites are well laid out and the 3 sided shelters table and bench seats are great for preparing meals and relaxing and chatting to other walkers.
Typical shelter at each site

We met some great people and the 4 of us got on very well - thanks to Bill, Jan and Di for making it such a successful MVB event.
